Please come to the Beshgetoorian home on Sunday, May 18th at 6:30 to learn how you can help a small Haitian orphanage with a very big dream. This orphanage, which began in 2000 with the help of Haitian Christians and US families, currently cares for 14 children. A local network of Presbyterian Churches, including ours, is becoming more and more involved with supporting this orphanage. (Remember the shoes we sent them last year!) Come and hear Kathy Johnson, a long-time Presbyterian missions activist and friend, share the whole story about this orphanage. Kathy visited the orphanage herself last fall. In addition to slides and stories from her trip, she wants to share the director's vision for the future which includes the following:
Haitian orphanage director, Chedlin, grew up in Haiti and was educated in the US. His life's mission is to help raise up Haiti from the inside by providing for and educating its children, as well as teaching them about Jesus Christ.
So please join us on May 18th. Children will be supervised and have their own space during the gathering. Please RSVP to 550-0465 or ahbesh
