His name is Jesse Watson. He leads worship.
Jesse and his family have moved here from Kirbyville, TX, where he worked with the youth group and lead worship at their church. Jesse has also led worship at conferences, church retreats, and youth events of more than 400 people.
He loves to sing to God. As he describes his journey growing up, he says, "I never knew that there was anything but hymns and gospel music, until I was introduced to praise and worship in college. The intimacy of praise and worship music helped to stir up a fire within my spirit." He goes on to say, "Now I am able to lead all types of music using hymns, or praise and worship, to help lead the congregation to worship God."
Jesse is a prolific songwriter and has recorded his music. He is not only going to share with us his musical gifts and talents, but also his experience in working with teenagers.
In expressing his motivation he says, "I have a desire to see the lives of all people changed as a result of being drawn closer to the heart and glory of God. I want to minister to those who are brokenhearted and have lost their way, by showing them the grace and the love of the Way, Jesus Christ."
